Whats American's Opinions On Store Front Beggers!

I pride myself on being a hardworker and doing whats neccessary to take care of my family. I give what I can to charity, to help the less fortunate. Honest people who really can't work and make ends meats and have honestly hit a rough patch and need a helping hand, but then you have your beggers who set out infront of gas stations and grocery stores and these people know that almost everyone walking out of these places are going to have loose change floating around there pocket.

Today or this morning around 2:15 A.M. I make my usual stop at the local gas station, on my way home from work and pick up my normal items. Cigarettes, milk and a lite snack before I go to bed.

There is a gentleman setting outside the door, he never acknowledges me going in, not so much as a hello or even a look he actually walks to the otherside of the pathway smoking a cigarette.

After I pay for my things, I fold my bills and tuck them neatlty into my pocket and put the change in my other pocket. No sooner than I get the door open he's all over me asking me for change or whatever I can spare to give him. In normal situations I just drop a few coins or quarters in the persons hand, but today this person i've never seen before but is well dressed in name brand clothing and a very nice jacket so I turn to him and tell him I work hard for my money and make enough to support myself and kids and walk away.

These kind of people make me sick. I give to charity when I can, cause I know there are honest people who do need a helping hand and really do appreciate the help they get and they don't abuse your kindness.

It's know that some beggers are really no more than people who refuse to work and actually make a good living or profit off scamming people who feel sorry for them.
I never seem to see these people during the day, this might be due to store policies and they keep there distance to avoid being arrested but there always there in the wee morning hours on a daily basis Whats the Amercican opinion on this, Like I said there are honest people who need a helping hand but when is enough, wnough whats your take on the whole scenario.
