Dixie Chicks Natile Maines Lashes Out

Dixie Chicks Take Back 2003 Bush Apology

I read a article on msn news about the dixie chicks. How one of the dixie chicks Natalie Maines apologized for
disrespecting president bush back in 2003 for issues over the Iraq war. She has since taken back the apology.
Later on in the article one of the dixie chicks makes the comment we'd rather have basically just people who
like the dixie chicks and no other country bands. Here is the famous paragraph, pulled from the msn article.

"I'd rather have a small following of really cool people who get it, who will grow with us as we grow and are fans
for life, than people that have us in their five-disc changer with Reba McEntire and Toby Keith," Maguire said.
"We don't want those kinds of fans. They limit what you can do."

Sorry Maguire we all don't care for all your music and I don't think you'll find fans that just like the Dixie Chicks.
To even think like that can smash a career, just as fast as it was created.

To me, sounds like there looking to form a cult of rude, obnoxious followers who care not of everyone, but the
dixie chicks. This is the problem with the American culture. We all have the right t listen to what music we choose
to listen too. The dixie Chicks are self centered people who care of themselves rather than enjoying the fans they
have they alienate the ones they got. Who gave them there chance into the music industry, who bought there albums.
It wasn't just the dixie chick fans but fans who listen to all sort of different country singers. I really think there careers will
suffer from this and they'll never have a hit album and that maybe one day they can think truly about how they
destroyed there own careers. Thinking like theres is what will hurt and tarnish America's image. We all know President
bushs polls are at a all time low and I think they think this helps there out bursts, even though there comments are
rude, childish and uncalled for we all do have our freedom of speech, but everyones opinion doesn't always set well
with everyone or some.
