Does it feel like were drifting back to a culture of the racist age or am I just dreaming. We've come a long way since Martin Luther King Jr. and Tthe Emancipation Proclamation but seems these days in sports were moving in the opposite direction of where we want to be heading towards.
Many sports players are role models for children of different ages, race, and backgrounds. Just like player safety is important, it's important for fan safety but where do you draw the line on the court and stands.
A fan called the 7'2" player a racial slur and then reacts as if i'm not racist, I heckle all players who oppose my team. First off a person who has no racist beliefs would never said what this DICKHEAD said......."Hey You MONKEY". Now we all know that is a racially charged epithe of a culture we call negros, african americans so if nothing racial was meant by it, then why even bring it up, why call this player a"MONKEY".
I'm not going to set back and look or sound innocent, I make mistakes out of anger but to call someone this in public for all to see is how do we say it......stupid,retarded,ignorant. Just like many parents teach there children If you have nothing nice to say, then keep your mouth shut.
